‘Delaying Assembly elections in JK goes against the spirit of Democracy’

Srinagar: Political parties of Jmamu and Kashmir have said that delaying Assembly elections for the state legislature is not a good indication for democracy of the country.

Reacting to the statement of Home Minister Amit Shah in the parliament that assembly elections will be held by the end of this year is depriving people of their elected representatives.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), National Conference General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar said the Government of India has double standards on democracy and elections of Jammu and Kashmir.
