Three Muslims beaten up in Ranchi, forced to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’

Three Muslims were beaten up by a group of people in Ranchi and were allegedly forced to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’, reported The Hindu.

Aamir Wasim, who had lodged a complaint at the Doranda police station in Ranchi, said he and his friends, Altaf Ali and Ali Ahmed, had gone to the airport area to take photographs.

“We were riding our two-wheelers and were in kurta pajama when some people besieged us. Without any provocation, they beat us up and told us to chant Jai Shri Ram. As the crowd got bigger, we fled from the spot,” said Mr. Wasim, and added security personnel near Birsa Munda Airport rescued them.
