Three people arrested by Police in Srinagar after physically abusing a minor girl on a shikara (boat) inside Dal Lake, an official said today.
On 18 July, police station Nigeen received an information that a minor girl (name withheld) has been physically abused by two persons in a shikara inside Dal at Hazratbal, he said.
Those arrested were identified by the official as Tawheed Ahmad Mir (Aide) S/o Showkat Ahmad Mir R/o Sadrabal and Ehsan-ul-haq (main accused) s/o Showkat Ahmad Yatoo R/o Sadrabal. “However, the third accused Bilal Ahmad Dar @Kila S/o Gh. Nabi Dar R/o Dargah taking advantage of the deep waters fled from the spot,” said the official.
