Srinagar: National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah has said that reason for putting the Army and the Air force on high alert cannot be related to Article 35-A or dilimitation but something else.
In a tweet, the former Chief Minister said:
What “on going situation” in Kashmir would require the army AND the Air Force to be put on alert? This isn’t about 35A or delimitation. This sort of alert, if actually issued, would be about something very different. https://t.co/FTYG36F6aD

Earlier, it was reported that the Government of India has deployed at least 25,000 para military troops in the state. The move came just days after 10,000 more troops were deployed in the state.
Government also has pressed Indian Air Force aircraft for rapid induction of CRPF and other paramilitary troops into Kashmir.
