Eid in a lockdown due to coronavirus has made the followers of the Islamic faith change the way they celebrate the festival. While most people stayed indoors, some ventured out to offer the congregational prayers while maintaining physical distancing norms.
In Kashmir, where restrictions on movement and communication are a part of everyday life, people decided to stay indoors.
The moon too played hide and seek, until finally, late at night, the announcement was made, bringing joy.
As Kashmir celebrated the festival on Sunday, Eid across India was celebrated on Monday. Kashmiris took to social media to wish Muslims across India a Happy Eid.
In a video complied by The Kashmriyat, some known and unknown Kashmiri faces were seen sending prayers and wishes to the Muslims of India.
