New Delhi: Two people were reported dead early morning in New Delhi as heavy rains flooded various localities across India’s Capital. A sixty year old man’s body was found floating in water under Delhi’s iconic Minto bridge that was waterlogged due to incessant rains. The deceased was reportedly a pick-up truck driver.
While in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri area, a 55 year old man got electrocuted and died.
The Indian Metrological Department tweeted that a thunderstorm was likely to occur in adjoining areas of Delhi and Noida.

The weather department also warned of heavy rains in nearby states of Delhi for the next three days, India Today reported.
Taking in consideration the waterlogging of roads, the Delhi Traffic Police issued a travel advisory on its twitter account urging people to not risk travelling through water logged regions.

The Metrological Department has also predicted a 2 day spell of rainfall to likely occur from Monday across some regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
The rainfall was expected to occur at most places of Jammu, scattered places of Kashmir and isolated places of Ladakh.
