BJP member from Kashmir fasts for recovery of COVID positive Ravinder Raina

BJP’s JK Chief, Ravinder Raina tested positive for COVID for the second time

Srinagar: More than a week after Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) President for Jammu and Kashmir, Ravinder Raina, tested COVID positive for the second time on Friday, a party member from North Kashmir has kept a day-long fast for the speedy recovery of the ailing leader.

Javaid Qureshi, a BJP District President from Bandipora district has kept a day-long fast for the speedy recovery of Party President whose test turned out to be positive for the second time.

Qureshi said that he prayed for the speedy recovery of Raina and entire leadership and workers in the party are praying for his wellbeing.

He added that party needs Raina’s, leadership to take forward the mission of reaching out to every person of the society.

Earlier on July 14, Raina, accompanied by the Union Minister in PMO Jitendra Singh, BJP General Secretary Ram Madhav, the party’s national Vice President Avainash Rai Khanna, visited the residence of slain BJP leader Sheikh Waseem Bari, to pay condolences to his family.

Bari, his brother, and father, were killed in a militant attack on July 09, 2020.

Besides party members, many people including the family, relatives and neighbours of the slain BJP Leader were present on the occasion, when the leaders were holding a condolence meet.

Soon after returning from Kashmir, Raina developed some health issues and at his Jammu residence and he was subsequently shifted to Narayana hospital in Katra for the treatment where he tested positive for the Coronavirus.
