Soon after the incident, Fayaz was shifted to Shimla’s Indra Gandhi Medical College where he was on treatment and on July 30, he succumbed to his injuries.

Senior Superintendent of Police Shimla, Ompati Jamwal, has told a local news website Kashmir Despatch that family has not filed the complaint officially.

“The matter has been reported with us. Though, it is not a Shimla city matter, that is why it is taking time. We found him in injured condition on Rohru and he was shifted to hospital. However, he died,” Jamwal said.

“The DSP had asked deceased brother to file a statement. However, his brother said that they will first take the body and then they will come back and file the statement. And, now we ask anyone to come forward and file a complaint”, he said.
