COVID claims 7 more lives in Kashmir, toll reaches 453 in JK

Srinagar: Coronavirus on Friday claimed seven more lives in Jammu and Kashmir, taking the total number of cases in the erstwhile state to 453.

Official sources said that seven persons who died include a 60-year-old woman from Sopore, Baramulla, a 55-year-old man from Chersoo, Awantipora, a 65-year-old woman from Sarnal, Anantnag, a 32-year-old man  and a 65 year old man from Hawal, Srinagar, a 60-year-old man from HMT, Srinagar, and a 65-year-old woman from Dalgate, Srinagar.

With seven more deaths, the death toll in JK has reached to 453 including 420 from Kashmir division and 33 from Jammu.

On Thursday, JK administration informed that 499 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus were recorded in a day taking the total caseload in the state to 23,454. Of the 499 cases, 73 were from Jammu, and 426 from Kashmir.

Moreover, 464 more patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals, 105 of these are  from Jammu, while 359 are from Kashmir.
