Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Thursday informed that 536 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus were reported today thus taking the total number of positive cases to 26949.
The erstwhile state also reported 11 COVID deaths- 02 from Jammu and 09 from Kashmir.
Moreover, 779 more patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals, 218 from Jammu and 561 from Kashmir.
According to the daily bulletin, out of 26949 positive cases, 7138 are Active Positive, 19302 have recovered and 509 have died- 39 in Jammu and 470 in Kashmir.
The bulletin further said that out of 763211 test results available, 736262 samples have been tested as negative till August 13, 2020.
Additionally, till date 406537 travelers and persons in contact with suspected cases have been enlisted for observation which included 42231 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 7138 in isolation and 48554 under home surveillance. Besides, 308105 persons have completed their surveillance period.
The administration has also evacuated 30,91,93 stranded JK residents; 21,39,57 via Lakhanpur, 95,236 through special trains.
As per the official data received in this regard, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has received 113 special trains at Jammu and Udhampur railway stations from different states and UTs, so far, with about 95,236 passengers while about 2,13,957 persons from other states and UTs including 906 from abroad have been evacuated by the government through Lakhanpur till date.
