Baramulla: Suspected militants fired upon a party of the Armed Forces at Kreeri area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday morning.
An official said that militants fired some rounds of fire on a joint Naka party of CRPF and Police at Kreeri area, after which the militants managed to escape from the spot.
One SPO identified as Muzaffar Ahmad was killed while two CRPF personnel identified as Lokas sharma and driver Khurshid Ahmed also lost their lives.
A police officer said that the area has been cordoned to nab the attackers.
This is second such militant attack in the last 24 hours in north Kashmir, on Sunday forces party was attacked in Sopore village.
