Srinagar: A militant has been killed in an ongoing gunfight between armed forces personnel and militants in Molu Chitragam area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday.

Official sources said that one unidentified militant has been killed and the gunfight is underway.
Earlier, a joint team of armed forces personnel including JK Police, Army’s 44 RR and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Molu village following inputs about the presence of militants.
As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them triggering off a gunfight.
“So far, one militant has been killed and the gunfight is going on,” an official source told this reporter.
