Gunfight breaks out in forests of North Kashmir’s Kupwara

Srinagar: A gunfight has started between militants and armed forces personnel in Dana Behak, Warnow area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday.

According to the reports, a joint team of Police, Army’s RR 28 and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Dana Behak forests.

As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering a gunfight.

Reports added that fire between the joint team and militants have started.
