After causing huge damage in southern Japan, Typhoon Haishen moves to South Korea

A yet another typhoon Japan witnessed, has resulted in blackouts in nearly half a million homes and injured 20 people on southern Japanese islands before heading to South Korea on Monday.

Quoting eyewitnesses, a report by CNN, said that following the incident, traffic movement was disrupted in the area, bullet trains were suspended and most domestic flights in and out of southwestern Japanese airports were also cancelled.

Last week, a cargo ship with 43 crew members and 5,800 cows on board went missing in southern Japan during the previous Haishen typhoon. The ship was transporting cows from New Zealand to China.

Later on, during the rescue operation 3 sailors were rescued; however, one of them died later.

Meanwhile, the Japan Meteorological Agency has alerted that strong winds and violent rains would continue even after the typhoon moved to north side.

In this regard, the country’s Fire and Disaster Management Agency have also notified that around 20 people were injured in the incident.

As the damage was assessed by the department initially, the typhoon has caused a loss of electricity across hundreds of thousands of homes in Japan.

Pertinently, the Haishen is the second typhoon in less than two weeks to take a similar path through southern Japan and the Korean Peninsula.

Last week, Typhoon Maysak caused injuries to dozens of people and damaged a huge property.
