Srinagar: At least three armed forces personnel including a Major were injured on Tuesday after the armies of India and Pakistan exchanged gunfire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district.
Official sources said that Pakistan army resorted to firing and shelling in locations of LoC in Keri Battal, Malla and in other areas of Jammu and Rajouri district.
“Pakistani army carried out target fire on many Indian army LoC posts in which a Major and two other armed forces personnel received injuries,” they said, adding that one among them has received serious injuries.
Officials said that at least seven to eight forward posts of Indian army came under heavy fire from Pakistan side and firing lasted for over two hours from 04:40 PM onwards.
