Military operation starts in south Kashmir’s Bijbehara, 3 militants believed to be trapped

Anatnag: A military operation was started by armed forces against militants in Sirhama of Bijbhera area of in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday

According to the reports, a joint team of police, army, 03 RR and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Sirhama.

“As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off an encounter,” officials said.

As per the sources, two to three militants are believed to be trapped.
