61 armed forces personnel among 1,081 COVID cases reported in 24 hours in JK, toll reaches 74,095

Srinagar: In the last 24 hours, Jammu and Kashmir reported 1,081 new novel coronavirus cases including 61 armed forces personnel and 50 travellers, taking the total count to 74,095.

Officials said that 640 of the cases were confirmed from Jammu division and 441 from Kashmir valley. Except for yesterday, Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed cases in excess of one thousand daily since September 4.

Meanwhile, JK has reported eighteen more COVID  related deaths in last 24-hours, taking the fatality count to 1166.

Among those who died due to the deadly virus include 11 from Jammu division—six from winter capital of JK, three from Udhampur and one each from Rajouri and Ramban. Seven others died in Kashmir valley—two each from Srinagar and Baramulla and one each from Budgam, Anantnag and Kupwara.
