Two among 5 armed forces personnel injured in militant attack in Pampore succumb

Srinagar: Two armed forces personnel were killed and three others injured after militants attacked a joint armed forces party at Kandzal area of Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, officials said on Monday.

Official sources said that five CRPF personnel sustained injuries in the militant attack, which were shifted to hospital for treatment; however, two among them identified as Constable Driver Dhirendra and Constable Shailendra Kumar succumbed to injuries.

Soon after the attack, officials said that traffic was halted in the area and a massive search operation has been launched by the joints teams of police and army to nab the attackers.
