44 travellers among 738 COVID cases reported in 24 hours in JK, tally crosses 80,000

Srinagar: Forty-four travellers were among 738 new COVID cases reported in Jammu and Kashmir in last 24 hours, taking the overall tally over 80,000 mark.

Among the cases, officials said that 290 were from Jammu division and 448 from Kashmir which takes the overall count to 80,476.

Giving district wise breakup, they said, Srinagar reported 183 cases, Budgam 46, Baramulla 37, Pulwama 55, Kupwara 42, Anantnag 22, Bandipora 30, Ganderbal 20, Kulgam 4, Shopian 9, Jammu 91, Rajouri 27, Udhampur 14, Doda 26, Kathua 18, Poonch 12, Samba 29, Ramban 14, Kishtwar 31 and Reasi 28.

Meanwhile, 1,706 more COVID patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals— 1145 from Jammu and 561 from Kashmir. According to the bulletin, 510,598 persons have completed surveillance period and 47,457 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 1,741,300 samples are available.

Out of 1,741,300, the number of samples tested negative stands at 1,660,824 while 80,476 have tested positive, among them 13,712 are active, 65,496 persons have recovered and 1,268 persons have died.
