Srinagar: An armed forces personnel who shot himself with his service rifle fortnight ago succumbed to his injuries late last night at SMHS hospital in Srinagar, officials said.
The armed forces personnel shot himself on October 12 and was subsequently admitted in SMHS hospital Srinagar, officials said.
“Yesterday late night, his condition deteriorated and he breathed his last,” official sources said.
The deceased belonged to D-Coy 141 battalion CRPF camp Shergari, Srinagar.
Meanwhile, an in house investigation has been started to find out the reason as to what forced the personnel to take the extreme step.
