The slain civilian has been identified as Abid Nabi from Pampore
Pulwama: A militant was killed in a military operation against militants by armed forces in Meej Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A senior police officer said that an unidentified militant has been killed in fresh firing which resumed on Friday morning as the operation is on in the area.
Officials said that one militant has also surrendered during the ongoing operation.
Police officials said that a militant surrendered while “efforts are underway to persuade another militant trapped inside.”
The identity of the surrendered one was not revealed so far.
A civilian who was injured during the initial stage of the operation on Thursday evening has succumbed to his injuries on Friday morning.The slain has been identified as Abid Nabi from Pampore
Another civilian, Kifayat Ahmad, who was injured is undergoing treatment at Bone and Joint hospital Srinagar is stable.
