Army goes berserk in Khrew, assaults drivers, vandalises vehicles, food stalls at Taxi Stand

Pampore: Army went berserk in Khrew, Pampore Tehsil of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. According to the locals they physically assaulted the local drivers “without any reason”.

Locals said that the army verbally abused them and they ‘were beaten ruthlessly with sticks and gun butts’.

Eye witnsses said that the army smashed the mirrors of vehicles present at main bus stop Khrew.

“Trembling in fear, the shopkeepers left their shops and started rushing towards safe places,” witnesses said.

The locals also blamed the army for vandalising the vegetables, fruits and other items from the nearby shops.
