Man arrested for poaching migratory birds in Pampore, says police

Pampore: Police on Thursday said that it arrested a man for poaching migratory birds from Pampore area of Pulwama district in south Kashmir.

In a statement, police said that Police Station Pampore received a complaint regarding the poaching of migratory birds in Pampore’s Meej area.

Upon this information, police forces along with Wildlife authorities arrested one person identified as Ghulam Haider, a resident of Balhama Panthachowk.

In this regard, police said a case vide FIR No 94/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered against the said Person in Police Station Pampore and further investigation has been initiated.
