Global COVID cases top 64.4mn, deaths at 1.49 million: Johns Hopkins Uni

The overall number of global coronavirus cases has topped 64.4 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 1.49 million, according to the Johns Hopkins University.

Showing the latest data, the University’s Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) on Thursday revealed that the current global caseload and death toll stood at 64,447,657 and 1,491,559, respectively, a report by news agency IANS said.

According to the CSSE, US is the worst-hit country with the world’s highest number of cases and deaths at 13,916,543 and 273,316, respectively,
