Srinagar: A 27-year-old female body was found in “mysterious condition” in Saderkoot village, in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Monday.
Reports said that the body was lying in her room in Saderkoot village of Bandipora and family members after spotting the body immediately informed the police.
Police later reached the spot and recovered the body of the woman in mysterious condition.
A Police official confirmed this incident to a local news agency KDC and identified the deceased as Afroza Begum, wife Shabir Ahmad Pahloo of Saherkoot Bandipora.
He said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Post Ajas and further investigations have been set into motion.
Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased woman staged a protest and sought action against culprits outside Police Station Bandipora.
