Srinagar: An unidentified militant has been killed in an ongoing overnight military operation in Hokarsar area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.

Police officials said that one militant has been killed so far in the ongoing operation and the identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained.
The operation began after a joint team of Police, army’s 02 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Hokarsar.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them triggering the operation.
