Bandipora: An armed forces personnel was injured when a sentry posted at Papchan CRPF camp in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district opened fire after observing some ‘suspicious movement’ around the camp Tuesday late evening.
An official told news agency KNO that the sentry of the CRPF camp fired some aerial shots after he observed some suspicious activity outside and in the process, one of the armed forces personnel got injured
He said that the injured armed forces personnel was rushed to district hospital Bandipora for treatment wherefrom he was shifted to Srinagar for advanced treatment.
Meanwhile, a senior police official confirmed that a CRPF jawan was injured, however, circumstances under which this happened is being verified.
