Srinagar: A jeweller who was critically injured after being attacked by unidentified gunmen in Sairabala area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district, succumbed to injuries on way to the hospital, officials said.
A senior police officer told news agency GNS that “militants fired upon the jeweller namely Satpal Nichal in Saraibala”. He was shifted to nearby SMHS hospital in critically condition.
Dr Nazir Choudhary, the medical superintendent at SMHS, told the news agency that Nichal was brought dead to the hospital.
Meanwhile, the officer said, armed forces have corroded off the area and searches are going on.
