Poonch: A woman from Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district was handed over by authorities from Pakistan-administered Kashmir (PaK) after she ‘inadvertently’ crossed the Line of Control (LoC) four months ago.

“Zareena Bi from Chela Dangri had crossed over to the other side and has been handed back by PaK authorities today,” Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Poonch Ramesh K Angral told the news agency Kashmir News Observer.

The police officer added that the woman was received on this side of the border and further legal formalities in this regard have been taken up.

Reports said that the woman had crossed over to PaK on 23 September last year and PaK authorities handed over the woman to Indian officials through Chakan-Da-Bagh crossing point in Poonch today.
