Covid: 44 test positive in JK, no death reported in last 48 hours

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Monday reported 44 fresh cases of COVID-19 taking the tally to 1,24,550 in the Union Territory, however, no death was reported in J&K in last 48 hours.

Of the exact number of 1,24,550 cases, 72,989 are from Kashmir and 51,561 from Jammu division.

Officials said that among 44 new cases, 36 belong to Kashmir division while as 08 are from Jammu division.

The total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 72,989 including 71,222 recoveries and 1,215 deaths.

Total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 51,561 including 50,683 recoveries and 721 deaths.

The officials said that total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 709 including 552 from Kashmir division and 157 from Jammu division.

With 83 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 121,905 which is 97.87 percent of the total cases.

As per the daily information bulletin 1,128,787 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 34,497 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 709 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 993,074 persons have completed surveillance period and 98,571 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 4,562,133 samples are available.

Out of 4,562,133 the number of samples tested negative stands at 4,437,583 while as 124,550 have tested positive, among them 709 persons are active, 121,905 persons have recovered and 1,936 persons have died.
