Srinagar: Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a person and recovered arms and ammunition from a vehicle in South Kashmir’s Kokernag area of Anantnag.
Police sources told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that arms and ammunition were recovered from a Tata Sumo vehicle bearing registration number JK03B 0733 near Lohar Sinji Godal area of Kokernag
“The seizure includes one grenade and fifteen AK rounds,” sources added.
Sources identified the arrested driver as Waseem Ahmad, son of Abdul Qudoos, a resident of loher Sainzi area of the district.
Meanwhile, Police have registered a case pertaining to the incident and have initiated further proceedings. (KDC)
