‘CRPF man went missing during anti-Naxalite Operation in Bijapur’

Jammu: Family members of a CRPF Cobra Commando, who is missing after Bijapur Naxalite attack in Chattisgarh, on Monday appealed to the Government of India to undertake all necessary steps and ensure their son’s safe return.

As per reports, R S Manhas, a CRPF personnel, who hails from Jammu and was presently posted in Cobra Commando wing of CRPF in Bijapur, went missing during an Anti-Naxalite Operation in Bijapur in Chattisgarh.

Manhas’s family members said that their son is missing and this is the only thing they have been told so far by the authorities.

“We are very much hopeful that our son is alive and fine,” the members of the family said. They appealed to the Government of India to take steps for the safe return of their son.

” We want our son and that too alive,” said members of the family of the missing CRPF Commando while speaking to media men in Jammu.

Earlier on Monday, 22 armed forces personnel lost their lives in the Naxal attack at Sukma-Bijapur in Chhattisgarh and 30 are still missing. The attack took place in a jungle near the border between Bijapur and Sukma districts in Chhattisgarh.
