Srinagar: One among the four militants trapped in Kanigam area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district surrendered amid the military operation, officials said on Thursday.

“One militant has surrendered so far,” police said in a tweet and identified the militant as Tauseef Ahmad.
The operation began after a joint team of Police, Army’s 44 RR and CRPF launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.
