Shopian: Accusing China of backing Pakistan in sending arms and ammunition through drones in Kashmir Valley, Bharatiya Janata Party President for Jammu and Kashmir Ravinder Raina on Thursday said that cease-fire agreement is only by name while the reality is that Pakistan has not stopped backing militants.

Raina who presided the BJP convention in south Kashmir’s Shopian district told reporters that on the one side there is a cease-fire agreement between India and Pakistan but on the other hand, Pakistan continues to indulge in militant activities.

He said Pakistan can’t do this singlehandedly, but he has the full support from China.

Raina said that Pakistan is sending arms, ammunition, and explosives to Kashmir using drones with the support of China.

“Pakistan has no capability to do this but is doing it with the support of China,” Raina said.

In response to a question, Raina expressed anguish over the worsening situation in Afghanistan saying violence has completely engulfed Afghanistan while world bodies should come in support of the Afghan government to eliminate militants there. He said Afghanistan is not only India’s neighbour but brother as well. (KNT)
