Pulwama: One of the two militants killed in a forest area of Namibian and Marsar on Saturday morning has been identified as top Jaish-e-Muhamad commander Lamboo, police said.

“Top most #Pakistani militant affiliated with JeM outfit Lamboo killed in today’s #encounter. Identification of second one being ascertained. #Congratulations to Army & @AwantiporPolice,” Kashmir Zone Police tweeted.
Earlier, police officials said that two militants were killed while the search operation was on in the area.
“Exact location of #encounter is between Namibian & Marsar, general area #Dachigam forest,” the police had tweeted.
The operation had begun after a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.
