Rajouri: An unidentified militant has been killed in a military operation against militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, official sources said.
Besides militant, a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) of the army was also killed in the operation and another armed forces personnel sustained injuries.
The operation began this morning in Kalas area of Thanamandi after contact was established with militants during a cordon-and-search operation by a joint team of armed forces, officials said.
Meanwhile, the operation was going on when this report was filed. Army’s defence ministry spokesman based in Jammu has confirmed the killing of the army officer.
