Sopore: A military operation has started by armed forces against militants in Peth-Seer area of Sopore town in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday.
A joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Peth-Seer area of this North Kashmir town.
As per the police, when the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
An official also confirmed about exchange of firing between militants and forces.
As this report was being filed intermittent exchange of fire was going on.
