Armed forces personnel shoots policeman dead in Handwara

Srinagar: A policeman was killed in Handwara when a sentry opened fire after the policeman allegedly ‘tried to forcefully enter the temple at midnight’ in North Kashmir.

Official sources told the news agency–Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a sentry after assuming an attack opened fire, leaving the policeman dead.

They identified the cop as Ajay Dhar, son of Late Krishen Lal Dhar of Langate Handwara, saying that he was posted at Police Station Handwara.

They said that sentry opened fire when the cop tried to enter the temple forcefully at midnight—(KNO)
