Bandipora: A military operation against militants has started in Watrina village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Sunday morning.

A senior police officer said that armed forces including Army and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), launched a cordon and search operation following the inputs of the presence of militants.
He said as the forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them triggering the operation.
The official said that an exchange of gunfire is going on and more armed forces personnel have been called on the spot.
