Cold conditions continue, Pahalgam and Gulmarg record sub-zero temperatures

Srinagar: With overnight fresh light rainfall in some parts, cold conditions continued across Kashmir valley with famous resorts of Pahalgam and Gulmarg recording sub-zero temperatures last night, officials said on Wednesday.

Quoting a meteorological department official, news agency GNS reported that Srinagar recorded minimum temperature of 4.2°C against 7.4°C on previous night. The summer capital had “traces” of rainfall last night, the official said.

Qazigund, the gateway town of Kashmir, recorded a low of 6.2°C against previous night’s 6.2°C, the official said.
