NIA arrests two more in ‘militancy-conspiracy case’ in Kashmir

Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) Saturday arrested two more accused persons involved in militant acts in the erstwhile state.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) the two people arrested include Ishfaq Ahmed Wani, resident of Srinagar and Umar Bhat resident of Sopore.

“The case relates to conspiracy for undertaking violent militant acts in J-K and other major cities by cadres of Laskhar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM), Al Badr and their affiliates such as the Resistance Front (TRF), and People Against Fascist Forces (PAFF),” an official statement of NIA reads.
