PDP is the creation of Advani, says Bukhari

‘Rafi Mir is a scammer, keeps changing parties to avoid land grabbing scam expose’

Anantnag: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) Vice President Jammu and Kashmir Sofi Yousuf on Tuesday said that the Apni Party members, including its president Altaf Bukhari and Rafi Ahmed Mir are the creations of BJP, and become BJP members automatically by joining the Apni Party.

“By joining Apni Party, Mir has joined the Bhartiya Janta Party and he should know this,” Yousuf said while addressing a gathering of workers at his native village in Srigufwara area of Anantnag, in south Kashmir.

The video of the comment is also viral on social media.

Referring to Mir, Yousuf said, “what can he say against BJP? By coming into Altaf Bukhari’s Apni Party, he has automatically embraced BJP,” Yousuf told his workers and laughed.

In another video, Yousuf said that Mir is ‘power-hungry’ and that is the reason he keeps swapping political parties.

“He was in National Conference and when they lost the election, he jumped in Peoples Democratic Party and finally ended up joining Apni Party,” Yousuf said, adding “he is doing all this to save himself from getting caught from the land-grabbing scam.”

Last week, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (JKPDP) president, Mehbooba Mufti had said that the aim of ‘proxy parties’ created by the BJP in JK is to make the ‘unconstitutional decision’ of August 5, 2019 as a constitutional decision through them in the assembly.

The former Chief Minister of the erstwhile state said that the policy of BJP has been trying to create division among regional parties in Jammu and Kashmir. However, she did not mention the name of any party.

“First they attacked PDP and created ‘proxy parties’, which everyone knows. Then they created division within NC in Jammu and made those leaders directly join the BJP,” she said.

Mehbooba said that now there is a division in the Congress party as well and to her knowledge, this division is not happening on its own but is being done by the BJP.

“BJP wants to create two factions in the Congress party here as well and want to use them separately,” she said.

She said that the election will be held one day or the other, but she has a doubt that the way they are creating division among the regional parties in Jammu and Kashmir, their only aim is that in the coming assembly election they will make those people reach the assembly who will help them to make the unconstitutional decision of August 05, 2019, as a constitutional decision through the assembly.

“They will make those people, who are their proxies, to reach the assembly and through them, they will make the unconstitutional decision of August 05, 2019 as the constitutional and right decision. But I have full faith that the people of JK are well aware of these proxies and they understand which parties are their own parties, which parties will defend their rights and which parties will deceive them,” she said.

Mehbooba said that the aim of these new parties is only to make unconstitutional decisions of August 05, 2019, as constitutional decisions.

24 hours after Mehbooba’s comments, Apni Party patron Syed Altaf Bukhari attacked PDP saying ‘the party is a creation of BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani’.

Advani is one of the co-founders and senior members of the Bharatiya Janata Party and a longtime member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Bukhari said that PDP is nowhere visible on the ground.  “I don’t see PDP anywhere on the ground,” he told reporters when asked about elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

Referring to PDP, Bukhari said the party is the creation of Advani and it plays a “dirty politics to push the Kashmiri youth towards graveyard only.”
