Shopian: Two more militants have been killed in an ongoing military operation against militants in Check-e-Cholan area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district, police said on Wednesday.

Police officials said that two more unidentified militants have been killed in the operation taking the toll to three. However, the identification of the slain militants is yet to be ascertained while as the search operation is going on in the area.
Earlier, an official said that a joint team of Police, Army, and CRPF launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.
He said that as the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering the operation.
