Awantipora: An unidentified militant has been killed in an ongoing military operation in Baragam area of Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday.

Police said that a militant has been killed in an ongoing military operation today. However, the identification of the slain is yet to be ascertained.
Earlier, officials said that the operation started after a joint team of police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Baragam following inputs about the presence of militants.
As the joint team of armed forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them triggering the operation.
