Shopian: Two unidentified militants have been killed in an ongoing military operation in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday morning, police said.
Police officials said that two unidentified militants have been killed in Chowgam area of Shopian. However, the identification of the slain is yet to be ascertained.

The military operation, according to officials, started on Friday night after a joint team of police, Army, and CRPF received information about the presence of militants and subsequently, a search operation was launched.
As the joint team of armed forces intensified searches towards the suspected spot, officials said the hiding militants fired upon them triggering the operation.
