One way traffic on Jammu-Srinagar highway today

Jammu: The Jammu-Srinagar highway, the only surface link connecting Kashmir with the outside world, shall remain open for one-way traffic on Wednesday, officials said.

“On Jan 12, subject to fair weather and better road condition LMVs Passengers shall be allowed from Jammu towards Srinagar ( only one way) in view of narrow and slippery conditions of the road at many places on Jammu-Srinagar highway and shall be allowed from Nagrota Jammu  at 0600 hrs up to 1200 hours and from Jakheni (Udhampur) at 0700 hours up to 1300 hours,” a traffic department official said.

He said no vehicle shall be allowed before and after cut-off timing.
