Shopian: Two armed forces personnel were injured in an ongoing military operation in Nowgam Check area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district, official sources said on Wednesday.
They said two armed forces personnel were injured in the initial exchange of fire in Nowgam check. Both the injured personnel have been shifted to the hospital for treatment.
Earlier, an official said that a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.
