Budgam: A military operation against militants has started in Chrar-i-Sharief area of central’s Budgam district, police said on Saturday late evening.
Police officials said that a joint team of Police, RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.
As the joint team of armed forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them leading to the operation.
Pertinently, another military operation is underway in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
