Live rounds found in CISF personnel’s bag at Srinagar airport, arrested

Srinagar: A personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) was detained at the Srinagar Airport on Saturday after two live rounds and one empty cartridge was found in his baggage.

Official sources said that during screening at the drop gate of the Srinagar Airport, two live rounds and one empty cartridge of INSAS rifle were recovered from the baggage of a CISF personnel, who was immediately detained for questioning.

“The personnel has been identified as CT Driver Nada of CISF unit PGCL Wagoora Puhroo who is currently posted at Nowgam Wagoora Pahru,” officials said.

A police official said that he has been handed over to police Post Humhama and further investigation has been launched in this regard. (KNO)
