Shopian: Two armed forces personnel and a militant were killed in an ongoing military operation in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday, officials said.
Earlier, a joint team of Police, army, and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on the input generated by JK Police in the area, they said.
Meanwhile, an Indian army’s Defence Ministry spokesperson based in Srinagar identified the deceased armed forces personnel as Santosh Yadav and Sep Chavan Romit Tanaji, both from 1 RR.
The operation in Zainapora ensued as the joint team of forces intensified searches towards the target spot, officials said.
